Saturday -- market day

This morning, a clear blue sky greeted us as we walked down to the Saturday market.  Rain is forecast for tomorrow, but somehow, the light today seemed exceptional.

We look forward to shopping for super-fresh fruits, vegetables, and fish at the market as well as all kinds of other lovely food items.  This is a great time to be here as the locally grown cherries and strawberries are bursting with flavor.

Sun dried tomatoes and garlic

Lots of beautiful produce

Sweet strawberries and cherriws
And we are always drawn to the diversity of seafood displayed in the cases.  We bought mussels, but many other options were tempting.

Anchovies and other fish

Oysters

Squid, shrimp, and small tuna

Sea snails and mussels.
