Biking in the Camargue

Today was a really lovely spring day, not to warm, not too cold, not too windy.  Perfect cycling weather.  So we drove to Saintes Maries de la Mer and rented bikes to ride along the dike road to the lighthouse.

We saw quite a few flamingos along the way, as well as several other species of birds.

Great day to be outside.

Just a note: even though it is legal here to drive on the beach and sand, it isn't always the smart thing to do.  This car was sunk into the sand up to its front bumper.
