Walking about

This year, our apartment is in a different area, so we are getting acquainted with the nearby neighborhood.  These photos were taken in the La Roquette district, within 5 or 6 blocks of where we are staying. 

The streets were pretty deserted today, because it is a national holiday --  VE Day - (Fête de la Victoire 1945), Victory in Europe Day in World War II.
