Shoppers at the market

Saturday Market is really a vibrant affair here in Arles.  The ethnically diverse population (which includes a large contingent of north Africans) all seem to shop seriously on market day.  Early in the morning, more than a hundred vendors set up their booths.  They sell all morning, then pack it all up and head home in early afternoon.  Family groups shop together.  Little kids are kept happy with free samples (especially of cheese).

Today's photos feature some of the people who were out shopping this morning.

And here's something we bought: little squid.
