Lobsters!

After 5 weeks of diving, this morning we saw our first Caribbean spiny lobsters of the season.  We went from zero to five in 10 minutes.  I've been looking under all kinds of ledges and in recesses searching for them, but lobsters seem to have become a rarity at our usual dive sites.

Today we dove at a site where conditions are not usually favorable to diving, and voila lobsters.  Hopefully their population will remain robust for years to come.

These lobsters were 8 to 12 inches long, and the photos were taken in less than 40 feet of water.
