This morning, we opted to get out before the winds really pick up later in the week, and ride along the river and the canal. We have made this ride many times before. It feels familiar, yet each ride is a little different. Today a wood stork flew over the canal next to us. Unfamiliar, but lovely, bird calls comprised a sound track for most of the ride.
The ride along the river is below the river wall, away from all the road traffic.

At the Museum of Antiquities, we transitioned from the river over to the canal. The canal was once used for navigation, but it sees little navigation these days.
The recreated Pont Van Gogh, the bridge made famous when it was painted by Vincent Van Gogh, sits across the Canal d'Arles a Bouc.
The land surrounding the canal is largely agricultural. It's quite peaceful.

And the sun came out as we returned to Arles.
