This morning, after searching for a couple of days, we finally located a longsnout seahorse. Although they have a very distinct shape, they are hard to find, because they sway with the water, assume odd postures, and tend to be covered with sand. Also, their true color isn't clear from a distance. This seahorse was in shallow water (less than 15 feet).
The seahorse was about 4 inches long, and was anchored with it's tail under some coral rubble.
