A ride to le Grau du Roi

This morning, we rented bikes in Aigues Mortes and rode to le Grau du Roi along the canal path.  It was another French holiday, Whit Monday.  Lots of people were out, and there were lots of things going on.

The first thing we encountered was a huge sale (perhaps another flea market) in and around the Arena in le Grau du Roi.

Kind of weird seeing all the merchandise next to the bull statues

Later in our ride, there was a major wine tasting event going on in the town of La Grande Motte.

This was the first time that we had ever seen both the giant Ferris wheel and the Carousel working on the same day.  This place has something for everyone.

We started out riding through the marine layer, but the sun eventually burned through.
