Train ride

Who knew that a train ride would provide more glimpses into art and other things?

My first major surprise was the appearance of a cell-phone charging station that used human-powered pedals as its energy source, in the Gare de Lyon (the station for trains heading south of Paris).  One guy was pedaling hard to re-charge his phone.  Another guy was simply leaning on one of the seats.

Then, shortly after we left Paris, I found a pair of big (water?) tanks that were painted with eyes on them.  About half the way south, I found a cooling tower painted with a small child and a beach scene.

But I was really surprised to see the passenger that was sitting in the seat behind me.  The French tend to take their dogs places that Americans would never consider.
