Gateway to history

The apartment where we stay in Arles is very close to many of the antiquities.  In fact, just beyond the electronic gate to our driveway is the Roman Arena, which dates to the first century A.D.   Around the corner, is the Theatre Antique, which dates back to 25 B.C.

The day was quite cool, and brought showers, so we didn't venture far on foot, and took our raincoats along.

Nothing like a Citroen to make you feel like you are in France.
