Shutter bug

After posting a photo of Frank Gehry's tower yesterday, and suggesting that the only visible connection that it had to Arles was through shutters, it seemed unfair to the local shutters to associate them with that tower.

Today's post features shutters that I spotted walking a few blocks from our apartment.  Not all shutters are blue.  They are definitely used heavily.  Our apartment has lavender colored shutters.  They provide room darkening service by day and night, and keep out storms.  In heavy wind they require extra hardware to secure them.
