Today, we rented bikes (les velos) in a neighborhood shop, and managed to make it safely to the bike trail along the Seine. We discovered the bike trail last year, and knew that it went through a tunnel, before coming up to street level next to the Jardin des Tuileries. Our goal was to ride over there, and as much as possible, through the jardin.
The weather was perfect, and we enjoyed the ride, and had lunch at an outdoor café in the jardin.
After lunch, we rode along the river up to the canal below the Place de la Bastille, then back to the Centre Pompidou.
