A gray day, but always interesting things to see

This morning, we had rain, then it eventually dried up.  But the temperature was quite mild, so we went out walking in the drizzle.  We walked through our neighborhood, up past the Place de la Republique to the Roman Theater.  Not too crowded, very pleasant.

Just another cool arch to walk under

Then this afternoon, when it was dry, we headed out for a second walk, and cafe.  Within about 25 yards of our doorway we started encountering a kind of pop-up flea market.  Some tables were set up.  Other goods were laid out on the pavement.  We have been in this neighborhood for over two weeks, and were here last year as well, but this was the first flea market that we have seen here.

These were the goods that they offered.

These look like shields that might have been used in an opera or other performance

We definitely wouldn't encounter these kinds of things on a neighborhood walk back home.
