Late Summer

This time of year, we start thinking more about food than usual.  And much of the food is heading into the freezer.  We have been busy foraging, and cooking, and dehydrating.

As the tides allow, we gather mussels.




We crab in the bay.



I find mushrooms in the woods.



Huckleberries in the yard.



And we finished off 3 flats of tomatoes (75 pounds) in one week.




We also cycle on the beach whenever possible.


Enjoy the season!
