Banded butterflyfish

We encounter banded butterfly more frequently than all the other butterflyfish on Bonaire's reefs.  They are charming, graceful swimmers, and don't pay much attention to divers.  They often swim around in pairs, and often hang out near various sponges.  They grow up to 6 inches, but these fish were between 4 and 5 inches long. These photos were taken at depths of 15 to 30 feet.
